Life Lately

If you've ever moved out of the country before, you know how stressful it is. My nerves are approximately 400% more on edge than normal.
Student visas, man.
I'm trying not to worry too much about things, but with several major purchases this week (my plane ticket, visa, student loans), I'm more than a little anxious about how everything is going to play out.
Speaking of plane tickets... it's official. Whether I get my visa or not, I'm going to London. And Iceland (!). Aaaaand my best friend is coming with me.
We leave September 2nd, have 3-days in Iceland on a layover (check out Iceland Air's layover setup, it's pretty sweet), and by the evening of the 5th, I'll be in London prepping for school.
Crazy crazy crazy. Everything is happening so fast.
My dad bought me a new camera lens for my trip, so I brought it along to play around with. Here are a few snapshots from today, showcasing my new lens and my attempts at reducing stress with my favorite people.
This weekend though, my brother is in town from college. Today, he took my best friend (Grace) and I out for breakfast and coffee and pastries... I'm stuffed to the gills. But I truly don't mind.

Isn't she the prettiest? Spencer (my brother) was tired of my camera, but Grace is an easy model to photograph. We went to a new restaurant in town, that I'm a big fan of (Page St. Cafe, for anyone in the Oly area). Then to our favorite local bakery... Then to a coffee shop. I made best friends with the bakery cat.

I'm hoping to get lots of stuff done around my house today, to help reduce my stress levels. I have my visa interview on Tuesday, so keep me in your thoughts. Here's to ending the week on a high note!
